Special Olympics needs ALL our help!

"I have just learned that funding for Special Olympics is in jeopardy this week with the current effort to make cuts to the Federal Budget.  I want you to know that I am in strong opposition to cuts to Special Olympics because it will have devastating effects to the Nebraska program when it comes to the well-being of people with intellectual disabilities as well as their families and classmates.  Special Olympics Nebraska provides much needed opportunities for schools and communities to come together in acceptance and inclusion of all people.  Cutting these funds will drastically affect these efforts, and continue to foster isolation and exclusion for individuals with intellectual disabilities."
