On Sunday we attended a family picnic at the park, put on by the G.R.A.N.D.S. group.

Grands stands for "Grandparents Responsible and Nurturing Down Syndrome".
My parents are part of this support group that meets monthly. An initiative they have (besides supporting each other) is to get our families together and form a sense of community and comraderie amongst us all :-)
The morning started out overcast, and it was forecasted to rain and storm all day, but thankfully the meteorologist's got it wrong (as YES, they sometimes do)...it was a PERFECT day for a picnic!!

Hello sweet Wesley!! |

I must be sure to credit both Casie and her dad, Russ Lindeman for taking all of these pics! :-) Thanks for sharing them with us.

Johnny is three! Is a smart little cookie :-) |
|
My parents and sisters all circled around. We enjoyed stealing a few of the little ones and "passing" them around. Here Keri is playing with sweet Justin :-) |
|
Macy rotates in the middle of the circle. It was hilarious, she would turn every few minutes and eat a little bit off of everyone's plate. When she got bored, she'd just rotate to the next fork...we called her a "lazy Macy"...hehe |
|
Thanks Russ (Regal Photography) for snapping this quick fun pic of Macy & I. :) |

Thanks to the G.R.A.N.D.S. group for organizing this event, we are already looking forward to the next one in the works for the fall!!
