A few weeks ago, we had a little impromptu (seriously last minute) "special day" celebrating Kenzie's "coming of age. 5!!
So her cousins and neighbor friend Lauren accompanied her to dance class. We went out to lunch and did some fun crafts at the park :-)
It was a fun, HOT and windy day!

This was FUN! We need to have more impromptu "big girl" outings :-)
After lunch, it was my "plan" to head next door to "Create" where the girls could do any fancy craft they liked...but sadly, it was closed due to the "Memorial" holiday weekend.
But no worries. We zipped on over to Hobby Lobby instead and picked out some special craft stuff all our own.

After the "big girl" morning adventure...we went over to our friends' Travis and Ashley's new house for some "Memorial Day" festivities. the girls swam in the pond, we ate lots of food and I got a few games of volleyball in. Besides being ridiculously HOT, it was a fun time and made for a really great day!
