Cousin Murphy comes to visit

Being that McKenzie got to have a girlfriend sleep over the other night, I suppose it is only fair to allow Toby to have a sleepover too. Fair is fair
So cousin Murphy spent the weekend with us (while his family took a trip to Minnesota).
The girls had a lot of fun hanging out with the doggies! We even went for a couple walks on Sunday.
Toby and Murphy get a long really well. They just follow each other all of the house!
When Toby was a puppy we called him "Mini-Murph". Are you wondering why?

Down Syndrome International (DSI) has officially earmarked the 21st day of March (3.21) as World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD). The date was chosen to signify the uniqueness of Down syndrome in the triplication (trisomy) of the 21st chromosome and is used synonymously with Down syndrome. Commemoration of World Down Syndrome Day started on 21 March 2006, it has " grown " manifold globally.
The annual observance of WDSD aims to promote awareness and understanding of Down syndrome and related issues : and to mobilise support and recognition of the dignity, rights and well being of persons with Down syndrome.

Macy - you are certainly worth celebrating. We count our blessings each and every day. We are so lucky to have you in our lives, thank you for giving us a fresh new perspective on what is truly important in life. You are a wonderful gift from God that we will treasure for ever & ever!

To celebrate this special day (that we honestly had no idea existed until a few short weeks ago) we took the kiddos to a special brunch after church. We went to Mimi's Cafe!! :-) Then we spent a relaxing Sunday afternoon just hanging out and enjoying each others' presence. We even took a walk around the neighborhood. Macy LOVED it! (well, she slept the whole time, but if she would have been awake, she would have loved it)
